Celebrating Spring!

"And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the spirit of love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on  earth's dark breast
Rose from the dreams of it's wintry rest.
The snowdrop and then the violet,
Arose from the ground with warm rain wet;
And their breath was mixed with sweet odour sent
From the turf like the voice and the instrument."
                                            Shelley

The days are longer and the birds are singing.  The trees are full of buds promising to amaze us with a splendid profusion of colour and fragrance.  It's Spring!  For me that means I'll make many visits to my local garden center--

That snail is so adorable.  I didn't purchase him then but I think
I might have to go back and scoop him up:-)

Spring reminds me to bring out some of  my Spring themed needlework and sometimes encourages me to
start another...

Or to take time to listen to the sound of shuttle and loom.

A time to plan for tea gatherings with friends--

A reason to change the kitchen cupboard...

And bring out the bunnies to welcome Easter--

Spring is such a special time of year.  A time to refresh and begin again.  I hope your Spring celebrations are joyful and long lasting, right into Summer :-)

Many thanks to Kathy for hosting Celebrate Spring with Victoria.  Please take a moment to visit her at A Delightsome Life for a wealth of Spring delight.

I'm also joining Wanda Lee's Teapot and Tea Things Tuesday ,House in the Roses Cottage Monday, and Romantic Home's Show and Tell Friday.

I like to needlepoint and have made my husband three petit point belts. Thanks for your nice comments on my blog! Being rather new, I truly appreciate any kind words. You are most accomplished at your needlework, and I can appreciate your talent!

Hello Vee
I'm still visiting the participants of Kathy's celebration of spring party.
The bunnies are adorable under the glass dome and I would have gone back for that snail myself.
Kathy has emailed me to say you wish to share the treasures from her giveaway and I am to receive a book.
Thank you so much for being a thoughtful winner, I am touched that you would do this.
Have a great weekend.
Judith

Hi Vee
What beautiful picture. This is such a lovely time of year and its wonderful you are having to think about flowers. We aren't at that stage yet but soon...*crossing my fingers*. The little crafts in the store are lovely too. We have a store like that by the cottage. I adore going there to see what's new each spring.
hope you've had a great weekend.
